Monday's game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder yielded tremendous fantasy basketball results. Both bottom dwellers gave their young cores a load of minutes. Throwaway games could make quite a few players with low rostership valuable down the stretch in fantasy basketball, and a couple of names from Monday's final matchup stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Here are four Week 24 waiver-wire targets with rostership at 50 percent or less in CBS leagues:
Aleksej Pokusevski, F, OKC (50% rostered)
Poku was CBS Sports' top DFS play on Monday and the second-year forward did not disappoint. The lanky, 20-year-old swingman flirted with a triple-double against the Portland Trail Blazers with 11 points, eight rebounds, and 11 assists in 41 minutes. Darius Bazley is out for the season with a knee injury and his backup is sure to get a ridiculous workload for a team that's far from the playoff picture. Poku's performance might not always live up to the standard he set to start Week 24, but few players under 60% rostership have more upside right now.
Drew Eubanks, C, POR (50% rostered)
Eubanks has been a strong streamer for a few weeks and is even more enticing with Trendon Watford (knee) on the shelf for at least a week. The Trail Blazers center has averaged 20.5 points and 15 rebounds per contest over his last two outings for a team that has essentially no other options at the five. His availability could make him a premium pickup for fantasy managers lacking depth in the frontcourt.
De'Anthony Melton, G, MEM (45% rostered)
Tyus Jones is filling in as a starter for the injured Ja Morant (knee), but Melton has been much more productive as of late off the bench. The Grizzlies combo guard has averaged 20.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest during Morant's latest five-game layoff. Melton's 22.3 minutes per contest during this span is a little concerning, but his shot volume and efficiency have helped his rostership climb past the fill-in starters.
Trey Lyles, F, SAC (26% rostered)
It's unclear whether Domantas Sabonis (knee) will play again this season, so Sacramento will need all the help it can get in the frontcourt. Lyles has tallied 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game through 14 starts with the Kings. He's averaged 11 points and 9.0 rebounds on 29.7 minutes per night over his last three outings without Sabonis in the lineup. Lyles's consistent role could give him an edge over hit-or-miss players like Isaiah Roby (36%) in the coming weeks.
