Smart (undisclosed) is expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Heat, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.

Smart will likely return to action Friday after missing the previous two preseason contests for an undisclosed reason. Smart's return should result in Jake LaRavia heading back to the bench.
