Pippen agreed to a four-year contract with the Grizzlies on Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Pippen finished the 2023-24 season on a two-way deal and was set to enter the 2024-25 campaign as one of the Grizzlies' three two-way players, but Memphis elected to upgrade him to the 15-man roster on a contract that's fully guaranteed for the first two seasons. The 23-year-old guard impressed over his 21 appearances (16 starts) for Memphis last season, averaging 12.9 points, 4.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 25.1 minutes. Pippen should open the upcoming season as the top backup to point guard Ja Morant (ankle).
