The Hawks announced Monday that Porzingis (Achilles) has resumed participating in basketball activities and will be re-evaluated in approximately one week.
Porzingis will be sidelined for a ninth consecutive game Monday versus the Pacers and looks poised to miss at least a few more contests beyond that, but if he continues to progress as anticipated in his recovery from left Achilles tendinitis, he could be ready to play by early February. In Porzingis' continued absence, the Hawks should have rotation spots available for both Mouhamed Gueye and Christian Koloko as reserve big men behind starters Onyeka Okongwu and Jalen Johnson.
