Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk said Tuesday that Hill will be out "quite a while" after the forward tore his right hamstring "off the bone" in Sunday's 130-127 loss to the Hornets, Mike Conti of the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network reports.
Hill sat out Monday's 121-110 win over the Timberwolves due to the injury, but the extent of the 30-year-old's hamstring issue wasn't known until Schlenk provided an update on the results of an MRI. While Hill is without an official timeline for a return, Schlenk's description of the injury suggests Hill will likely be sidelined for several weeks. Hill had filled a minor role in the Hawks' rotation over the team's last six games before he suffered the injury, averaging 8.7 minutes per contest.
