Wiggins opted into his $30.1 million contract for the 2026-27 season Monday, Jake Fischer of BleacherReport.com reports.
Although he would've had a significant market in free agency, Wiggins opted for the large chunk of salary for the final year of his deal. He's coming off a solid regular season, posting averages of 15.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.0 blocks and 2.1 three-pointers. He'll have the chance to play alongside new teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2026-27.
