Jaquez won't play in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Hornets due to a left groin strain.
Per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the hope is that Jaquez's injury is minor and he'll be back on the court soon. Following Tuesday's game, the Heat return home to face the Hawks on Thursday. Miami has five preseason games before opening the regular season against the Magic on Oct. 23.
