Jaquez totaled six points (3-6 FG, 0-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 17 minutes in Sunday's 101-99 preseason win over the Pelicans.
Jaquez had a decent return to action after missing time with a groin strain. The 23-year-old did shoot 0-for-4 from the charity stripe, though he shot 81.1 percent from the free-throw line last season, so it should not be too much of a cause for concern. The second-year forward will likely serve as the primary backup to Nikola Jovic and Jimmy Butler. Jaquez is expected to be one of the club's top reserves alongside Haywood Highsmith and Kevin Love.
