Richardson (shoulder) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Richardson was a limited participant during training camp and was unable to suit up during the preseason. The 31-year-old is still recovering from a right shoulder surgery he underwent in March, and his status for the club's regular-season opener against the Magic on Wednesday remains unclear. Richardson is expected to come off the bench behind Tyler Herro (rest) at shooting guard, but if he misses the beginning of the season, Duncan Robinson (rest) and Alec Burks (rest) are both candidates to pick up the slack.
