Simmons had his two-way deal converted to a standard contract Friday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Simmons signed a two-way contract with the Hornets last week and has averaged 1.7 points in 6.0 minutes per game since then. Despite his limited role, he'll remain with the team on a standard deal.
