Bitadze posted eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 11 rebounds and three blocks across 22 minutes in Wednesday's 107-97 preseason loss to the Spurs.
Bitadze got the start at center with Wendell Carter (ankle) sidelined, and while he's not expected to do much on the offensive end, Bitadze found a way to make his presence felt, especially considering he had the daunting task of guarding Victor Wembanyama. Bitadze certainly earned some points toward being the starter at center if Carter can't recover in time for the regular-season opener against the Heat on Oct. 23.
