Bogdanovic (wrist/foot) is scheduled to play in an exhibition game Sept. 5 in Zagreb, Croatia, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

The exhibition game is in honor of the late Drazen Petrovic, a Yugoslav and Croatian basketball legend who blazed the trail for many European players -- including Bogdanovic -- to make the jump to the NBA. Acquired from the Knicks earlier this summer in the deal that sent Mikal Bridges to New York, Bogdanovic saw his 2023-24 season come to an end in late April during the playoffs, when he sustained a left foot injury that required surgery followed by a three-month evaluation timeline. He also underwent an additional surgery on his left wrist May 22 that required a 6-to-8-week recovery, but Bogdanovic's ability to compete in the exhibition suggests that he received full medical clearance at some point in late July or early August. Bogdanovic should thus be on track to be a full participant when the Nets open training camp Oct. 1.
