Gutierrez signed a training camp contract with the Nets on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Gutierrez found minimal interest at the start of the 2015-16 season, but eventually signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the Hornets in February, which led to him signing with the team for the rest of the season. He finished the campaign with 12 appearances and averaged 1.8 points and 1.4 assists over 5.3 minutes per game. Since Gutierrez's deal is guaranteed for 2016-17 and Jeremy Lin, Greivis Vasquez and Isaiah Whitehead slot above him on the depth chart, it's unlikely that he'll break camp with the Nets.
