Hayes (hip) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Raptors, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Hayes will ultimately miss the entire preseason schedule due to a hip issue. He's signed to an Exhibit 10 deal, so the prolonged absence isn't helping his case for landing an Opening Night roster spot.
