Hayes (hip) has been ruled out of Tuesday's preseason opener against the Clippers, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Hayes was a late addition to the injury report, and the severity of his hip injury is unknown. The 23-year-old's next opportunity to feature will come Monday versus the Wizards.
