Jokic contributed 38 points (15-24 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 18 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 106-100 victory over Sacramento.
Jokic narrowly missed out on his fifth triple-double in six games, but the magnificent shooting from the field and free-throw line to go along with the contributions in the defensive categories more than made up for it. The Serbian big man is in the midst of an impressive follow-up season from his 2020-21 MVP campaign, and if not for Joel Embiid's night-in, night-out dominance in his own right, Jokic might be the frontrunner for the award again. The Nuggets will have home games coming up Thursday against the Warriors and Saturday against the Raptors before Jokic gets the chance to go head to head against Embiid in Philadelphia on Monday.
