Cook was waived by the Kings on Thursday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Cook joined the Kings in early August but will be let go ahead of the team's preseason finale. He hasn't appeared in the NBA since the 2020-21 season and seems like a strong candidate to wind up in the G League to begin the 2021-22 campaign.
