Thompson notched 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, an assist and two steals across 22 minutes in Monday's 122-113 preseason loss to the Jazz.
Thompson got the start at small forward over Dillon Brooks (rest) in the preseason opener. While he's ticketed for a bench role to start the 2024-25 campaign, Thompson possesses decent upside as a do-it-all forward who can fill the stat sheet in limited minutes. Thompson averaged 9.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks per game across 62 regular-season appearances as a rookie in 2023-24.
