Thompson is not in the starting five for Tuesday's preseason matchup versus the Pelicans, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.
Thompson started in the Rockets' first two preseason games, once at small forward and once at point guard. However, Fred VanVleet is back after receiving a scheduled day off last Wednesday against the Thunder, and Thompson will likely be in the first wave of replacements off the bench.
