Bassey posted 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds and one steal in 18 minutes during Saturday's 114-94 win over the Trail Blazers.

Though Victor Wembanyama captured most of the headlines with a 30-point, 10-block performance, Bassey turned heads while serving as Wembanyama's backup. Bassey appears to have solidified his spot in the rotation as the backup center ahead of Zach Collins, who has been available for the past two contests but hasn't played after a recent two-game absence due to a back injury. Bassey has shown the ability to post interesting per-minute numbers throughout his career, but unless Wembanyama misses time, Bassey's fantasy appeal will be largely left to deeper leagues. Bassey is unlikely to surpass 20 minutes in competitive contests while Wembanyama is available.
