Champagnie is starting Monday's preseason game against the Thunder.

Devin Vassell (foot) is set to be re-evaluated Nov. 1, so even though Monday is the preseason opener, this will be a golden opportunity for Champagnie to show that he belongs with the first unit. He should see plenty of minutes with Vassell ruled out and Chris Paul (rest) getting the night off.
