Jones will enter the starting five in Monday's preseason opener against the Thunder, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Chris Paul (rest) will get the day off, so Jones will slot into the starting backcourt spot alongside Julian Champagnie. Stephon Castle is also expected to suit up Monday, but he will come off the bench behind Champagnie and Jones. The 24-year-old Jones is coming off a solid 2023-24 campaign, during which he averaged 10.0 points, 6.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds across 27.8 minutes per game in 77 regular-season outings.
