Jones ended with 28 points (11-20 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-6 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block over 28 minutes during Thursday's 117-116 win over Windy City.
The 30-year-old NBA veteran has played in the main league since the 2018-19 season, but Jones now finds himself with the Gold. The 2012 first-round pick exploded for Grand Rapids in just his second game for the Gold. While Jones still faces an uphill battle of making it back to the NBA, it is encouraging to see him perform well for Grand Rapids after recently joining the team.
