Minnesota transferred Nix from the G League's Iowa Wolves to the Timberwolves on Monday.
Minnesota is dealing with numerous absences before Monday's game in Utah, so Nix has been recalled and will provide emergency depth. However, he's made only 12 NBA appearances this season and has played double-digit minutes just once.
