Layman will start Thursday's contest against the Jazz.
With Anthony Edwards, Taurean Prince and Josh Okogie all in COVID-19 protocols, Layman will draw his first start of the season. Across 12 appearances this year, he's averaging 1.1 points in 5.2 minutes per game, but he's expected to have a larger role against Utah.
