Our weekly Fantasy Basketball Planner is the essential guide to setting your lineup for the upcoming scoring period. Every week, we provide you with news and notes for each team, tracking hot and cold players, injuries and rotation changes.
Atlanta Hawks
Schedule: TOR, LAC, @WAS
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Josh Smith, Joe Johnson, Al Horford
Toss Ups: Jamal Crawford, Mike Bibby
Bad
Plays: Marvin Williams, Jeff Teague, Jordan Crawford, Zaza Pachulia
Notes: Williams returned from an 11-game
absence due to a back injury on Jan. 26. Initially, it appears his
minutes will be limited. Avoid him for now. ... In leagues where a line
of 9-3-3 with 1.4 steals per game might get you out of a tough spot,
Bibby may be your guy. Those are his January numbers. He is merely an
emergency play for deep leagues. ... Crawford has struggled with his
shot lately, shooting 23 of 61 (37.7 percent) from the field over his
last five, but four of those games have come against top defensive teams
(@MIA, NO, @CHA, @MIL). Expect him to break out of the slump against
much friendlier opponents in Week 15 (TOR, LAC, @WAS), all of which
allow over 100 points per game.
Boston Celtics
Schedule: @SAC, DAL, ORL
Injury
Report: Shaquille O'Neal
(hip/day-to-day), Jermaine O'Neal
(knee/February), Delonte West (wrist/February)
Good Plays: Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce
Toss Ups: Glen Davis
Bad
Plays: Kendrick Perkins, Shaquille O'Neal, Semih Erden, Nate Robinson, Marquis Daniels
Notes:
Pierce tweaked an ankle on Jan. 25 vs. Cleveland and did not practice
the next day. However, he put up 17 points in a win at Portland Thursday
night and appears to be fine. ... Perkins made his second straight
appearance Thursday night and just missed a double-double. He played
just 21 minutes, but the stat line he put up in such limited playing
time is an indication he'll be an asset once he gets into game shape.
Don't start him yet, but he's definitely worth an add. ... Erden looks
like he might be a cheap solution for owners in deep, deep leagues,
averaging 7.0 points and 7.5 rebounds over his last four games with the
O'Neals both out, but he is a very risky play with Perkins looming
around. ... Shaq is expected to be held out of back-to-back sets going
forward, though there are not any in Week 15. With Perkins back, Shaq
will rarely play more than 20 minutes going forward.
Charlotte Bobcats
Schedule: @UTA, @DET, MIA, DAL
Injury
Report: Tyrus Thomas (knee/March)
Good
Plays: Stephen Jackson, D.J. Augustin, Gerald Wallace
Toss
Ups: Boris Diaw, Kwame Brown
Bad Plays: Nazr Mohammed,
Gerald Henderson, Shaun Livingston, Derrick Brown
Notes:
Wallace revealed this week that he is still bothered by the ankle
injury that sidelined him earlier this month. He will continue to play,
but said the ankle stiffens up on him at halftime of games and leaves
him at 'about 75 percent' for the second half. He is averaging a 13-3-9
stat line over his last five, however, which is more than enough to want
to keep him active. ... Diaw is a jack of all trades, master of none
type of player. He is not going to help you a ton in any particular
category, but he can chip in just about everywhere. He is averaging a
11-4-5 line over his last five with over a steal per game and some
decent 3-point shooting. Take advantage of his diversity in category
play. In standard Head-to-Head his well-rounded production allows him to
scrape together enough to make him a good low-end play, especially in a
four-game week. ... Brown has gained the favor of coach Paul Silas and
seems to be earning a bigger role by the game, capped by a pair of
back-to-back double-doubles this week. Add him immediately in leagues
where center help is scarce off the wire. Consider him a sleeper start
in Week 15 if you need a stopgap considering his recent run and
four-game slate.
Chicago Bulls
Schedule: @LAC, @GS
Injury Report: Derrick Rose (flu/day-to-day), Joakim Noah
(thumb/late February)
Good Plays: Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer
Toss
Ups: Luol Deng
Bad Plays: Taj Gibson, Kurt Thomas, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, C.J. Watson
Notes: The Bulls are one of just four teams to
play two games in Week 15, but both games do come against teams that
allow over 100 points per game, making some Bulls good options in
average-based play. ... Rose has been dealing with a stomach ulcer this
week that has not allowed him to eat regularly. Monitor his progress
closely. ... In cumulative formats, Rose (if healthy) and Boozer should
do enough given the high-volume matchups to remain active. However, it
depends on what alternatives you may have available. They are not
must-starts by any means this week, but they are viable. ... Deng is
better saved for average-based play this week.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Schedule: @MIA, IND, @MEM, POR
Injury
Report: Mo Williams (hip,
groin/early February), Anderson Varejao
(ankle/likely out for the season)
Good Plays: Antawn Jamison
Toss Ups: J.J. Hickson,
Daniel Gibson, Ramon Sessions
Bad Plays: Mo Williams,
Manny Harris, Christian Eyenga, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker
Notes: On Jan. 19, the Cavaliers announced
that Williams would be out ' a couple weeks' and there remains no
updated timetable. He could return at some point in Week 15, but the
lack of a guarantee makes him a player to avoid. ... In Williams'
absence, Gibson and Sessions have become solid stopgap plays. With
Williams looming, however, both are somewhat risky. Unless the team
announces Williams' imminent return, we expect clear skies ahead for
both players in the short term. ... Expect Hickson, who is averaging
11.0 points and 13.0 rebounds in his last five games as a starting
center, to exploit inside matchups all week -- especially against Miami,
who struggle mightily against opposing bigs.
Dallas Mavericks
Schedule: WAS, @NY, @BOS, @CHA
Injury
Report: Peja Stojakovic
(knee/day-to-day), Roddy Beaubois
(foot/early February), Caron Butler
(knee/out for the season)
Good Plays: Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd
Toss
Ups: Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion
Bad
Plays: Jose Juan Barea, DeShawn Stevenson, Brendan Haywood, Peja Stojakovic, Roddy Beaubois
Notes:
The Mavericks officially added Stojakovic this week, but given his
lack of playing time in Toronto over the last month he will be brought
along slowly. Eventually, the team sees him as a significant contributor
(and perhaps starter) on the wing. ... Beaubois' agent announced this
week that his client is 'a week or maybe two' away from returning. He is
getting close, but he is not quite there yet. ... Chandler, who is
averaging 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds with 1.3 blocks over his last
five, should be a solid play in a four-game week -- especially given
easy matchups against the Wizards and Knicks. ... Start Terry -- who is
averaging 18.2 points over his last five games -- in any format this
week. ... Marion slowed a bit with Nowitzki back in the mix, but is
averaging 9.6 points and 8.0 rebounds over his last five and is a worthy
low-end play in a four-game week.
Denver Nuggets
Schedule: @NJ, POR, UTA, @MIN
Injury
Report: Nene (calf/day-to-day), Kenyon Martin
(knee/day-to-day), Chris Andersen (knee,
back/day-to-day)
Good Plays: Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups
Toss
Ups: Nene, Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, J.R. Smith, Ty Lawson
Bad Plays: Kenyon Martin,
Chris Andersen, Shelden Williams
Notes: Nene is considered merely
'day-to-day' by the Nuggets, though the extent of his calf injury is
unclear. Use the weekend to determine his status for Week 15. We like
him as a start as long as he is healthy enough to play. ... The Nuggets
are holding Martin out of back-to-back sets. They have one coming up in
Week 3, so expect him to play no more than three games. Given his
restricted play so far, he is not a worthy play yet anyway. ... Afflalo
has scored 17 or more points in three of his last four games. He is a
viable low-end play, especially where his 3-point shooting is an asset.
... Harrington has been able to step up with the Nuggets dealing with
injuries to Nene, Martin and Andersen. Don't get overly excited about
his recent production as a result, but he has some appeal as a low-end
play in deeper leagues given the four-game week. ... Smith has not
scored in double figures in five straight games. ... Lawson had a streak
of four straight games scoring in double figures snapped on Jan. 26 in
Detroit when he scored just four points in 17 minutes. His playing time
continues to fluctuate dramatically, making him hard to trust in Fantasy.

Detroit Pistons
Schedule: CHA, NJ, @MIL
Injury
Report: Rodney Stuckey
(shoulder/day-to-day), Richard Hamilton
(flu/day-to-day), Jonas Jerebko
(Achilles'/out indefinitely)
Good Plays: Rodney Stuckey
Toss Ups: Tayshaun Prince, Greg Monroe, Tracy McGrady, Ben Gordon
Bad
Plays: Charlie Villanueva, Richard Hamilton, Ben Wallace, Austin Daye, Will Bynum, Chris Wilcox, Jason Maxiell
Notes:
In January, Prince has averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.5
assists per game. He is a solid play in most formats. ... Monroe seemed
to get back on track on Jan. 26 vs. Denver after three straight weak
efforts with 14-and-7 against the Nuggets. He remains a viable low-end
play, especially where he is eligible at center. ... McGrady is anything
but consistent. However, he is averaging 10-6-5 over his last five
games, while getting 32.8 minutes per game. Make the most of it while
you can. ... Gordon is coming off a pair of strong games with 15-plus
points against the Magic and Nuggets, but remains highly erratic in the
big picture. Start him only if you need a fill in. ... Hamilton has not
played in any of the team's last nine games and there seems to be no
plan to get him back in the rotation. It appears only a trade can save
his Fantasy appeal at this point.
Golden State Warriors
Schedule: MIL, CHI
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Monta Ellis, David Lee, Stephen Curry
Toss Ups: Dorell Wright
Bad
Plays: Andris Biedrins, Reggie Williams, Ekpe Udoh
Notes:
The Warriors are one of just four teams to play just two games in
Week 15. Both games come against teams that allow fewer than 100 points
per game. Expect lower volumes than usual. ...Start Ellis, Lee, Curry
and Wright in cumulative formats despite an expected drop in volume this
week, but you will have to weigh your options carefully in cumulative
formats. Ellis, Lee and Curry remain viable options, but it all depends
on your alternatives.
Houston Rockets
Schedule: @LAL, @UTA, MEM
Injury
Report: Brad Miller
(knee/day-to-day), Yao Ming (ankle/out
for the season)
Good Plays: Luis Scola,
Kevin Martin
Toss Ups: Kyle Lowry, Aaron Brooks, Shane Battier, Chuck Hayes
Bad
Plays: Brad Miller, Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger, Courtney Lee, Terrence Williams, Patrick Patterson
Notes: Brooks has yet to prove consistently
reliable since returning from his ankle injury, but he is getting close,
scoring 15-plus in back-to-back games against the Timberwolves and
Clippers. Higher-volume games certainly helped, though, and Brooks
remains merely a tentative low-end play until he can string together a
few more positive performances. ... With Brooks still not completely 100
percent, Lowry has remained viable, averaging a 14-6-3 stat line over
his last five games. He continues to be a ticking time bomb in Fantasy,
as his production stands to decrease once Brooks is ready to take on
more. Make the most of his current situation while it lasts. ... Battier
is averaging 11.8 points and 5.6 rebounds over his last five games with
healthy contributions in 3-point shooting. ... With Miller banged up,
Hayes has seen an increase in playing time. It has allowed him to
average 9.0 rebounds to go with 8.4 points, 4.2 assists, 1.6 steals and
1.4 blocks over his last five games. Keep him in mind in deeper leagues
-- especially for category play.
Indiana Pacers
Schedule: TOR, @CLE, POR, @NJ
Injury
Report: Brandon Rush
(ankle/mid-February)
Good Plays: Danny Granger
Toss Ups: Darren Collison, Roy Hibbert, Mike Dunleavy
Bad Plays: Tyler Hansbrough, Jeff Foster, Paul George, Josh McRoberts, T.J. Ford
Notes: Expect Collison to exploit high-volume
matchups against the Raptors and Cavaliers, adding to his appeal in a
four-game week and perhaps boosting his averages for average-based
leagues. ... Rush is expected to miss a couple of weeks with an ankle
injury, possibly creating an increase in playing time and shot volume
for Dunleavy. ... Hibbert's playing time is down, with the struggling
big man averaging just 19.5 minutes over his last five games. Favorable
matchups and all, he simply cannot be trusted at this time.
L.A. Clippers
Schedule: MIL, CHI, @ATL, @MIA
Injury
Report: Craig Smith
(back/day-to-day), Chris Kaman
(ankle/out indefinitely), Eric Gordon
(wrist/mid-February)
Good Plays: Blake Griffin, Baron Davis
Toss
Ups: DeAndre Jordan, Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes
Bad
Plays: Eric Bledsoe, Al-Farouq Aminu, Rasual Butler
Notes:
This week, it was revealed Kaman is dealing with a bone bruise and
not just an ankle sprain as had been initially diagnosed. He hopes to be
able to get back to practice soon, but is not expected to play in the
next week. ... Gordon has been ruled out for the next 3-4 weeks with a
fracture in his wrist. Foye has taken his spot in the starting lineup
and the early results have been promising. He scored 15 points on Jan.
25 at Dallas with 20 points the following night in Houston. ... Quietly,
Gomes is averaging an adequate 10.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6
3-pointers made over his last five games. He could see an indirect boost
to his shot volume with Gordon out. ... Davis has attempted at least 15
shots in the first two games without Gordon in the lineup. Expect his
shot volume to increase over the next few scoring periods.
L.A. Lakers
Schedule: HOU, SA, @NO
Injury Report: Matt Barnes (knee/March)
Good Plays: Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum
Toss
Ups: Ron Artest
Bad Plays: Shannon Brown, Steve Blake, Derek Fisher
Notes: Bynum and all, Odom is averaging 16.2
points and 8.2 rebounds over his last five games and has not seen a
significant decrease in numbers. ... Fantasy owners have been slow to
react to Bynum's return, activating him in only 61 percent of
CBSSports.com leagues. However, he is averaging 14.8 points and 9.6
rebounds over his last five games to go with two blocks. ... Artest
continues to put up the occasional useful stat line, but the overall
body of work has been highly unproductive from a Fantasy standpoint. The
defensive specialist is averaging just 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8
asstists over his last five contests.
Memphis Grizzlies
Schedule: ORL, @MIN, CLE, @HOU
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay, Marc Gasol
Toss Ups: Mike Conley
Bad
Plays: Darrell Arthur, Tony Allen, Xavier Henry, Greivis Vasquez, Hasheem Thabeet
Notes:
The Grizzlies begin the week with a tough low-volume matchup against
the Magic, but the remainder of the week should yield high-volume
numbers. The Timberwolves, Cavaliers and Rockets allow an average of
106.2 points per game. ... Expect the favorable matchups to provide a
nice boost to Conley, who is averaging a very useful 15-4-4 over his
last five games. .... Mayo will be serving a suspension for 10 games
after testing positive for a banned substance, allowing players like
Allen and Henry to step up. However, they will be looking at
inconsistent production and will only be suitable as stopgap measures
for deep leagues. Use the weekend to determine if someone is worth
plugging in for Week 15 to take advantage of the matchups.
Miami Heat
Schedule: CLE, @ORL, @CHA, LAC
Injury
Report: Dwyane Wade (knee,
migraine/day-to-day), Chris Bosh
(ankle/out indefinitely), Eddie House
(ankle/day-to-day), Udonis Haslem
(foot/March)
Good Plays: LeBron James,
Dwyane Wade
Toss Ups: Chris Bosh, Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers
Bad Plays: James Jones,
Eddie House, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Joel Anthony, Carlos Arroyo
Notes: Wade has been dealing with lingering
soreness in his knee and a migraine, but he should be a safe start for
Week 15 as long as there are no setbacks over the weekend. ... Bosh will
not play until he can prove he can practice at full speed, according to
coach Erik Spoelstra. He is unlikely to return until the Feb. 3 game in
Orlando and will be a highly risky play for Week 15. We suggest healthy
alternatives where possible, though he can be a viable start in some
average-based leagues. ... The Heat have promoted Chalmers to a starting
role at point guard. He will not provide significant totals in any
particular category, but he can bring a little bit of everything. Over
his last five games, he has averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 assists, 3.0
rebounds, 1.4 steals and 2.8 3-pointers made. ... Miller's 32-3-10
outburst on Jan. 22 vs. Toronto has gained him a lot of attention in
Fantasy, but that game came with no Bosh or Wade due to injuries. Expect
him to take on a more significant role going forward, possibly averaging
somewhere in the neighborhood of 13-4-4 with premium 3-point shooting
under normal circumstances. Use the remainder of Week 14 to determine
where he fits in for now. ... House has quietly averaged 13.3 points
over his last four games, thanks partly to all the team's injury
troubles. He has been lighting it up from beyond the arc, shooting 13 of
23 from 3-point range in those games. His ankle injury is considered to
be minor.
Milwaukee Bucks
Schedule: @LAC, @PHO, @GS, DET
Injury
Report: Brandon Jennings
(foot/day-to-day), John Salmons
(hip/day-to-day), Chris Douglas-Roberts
(wrist/day-to-day), Drew Gooden
(foot/day-to-day), Michael Redd
(knee/March)
Good Plays: Andrew Bogut
Toss
Ups: Brandon Jennings, Keyon Dooling, Earl Boykins, John Salmons, Corey Maggette, Carlos Delfino, Ersan Ilyasova
Bad
Plays: Drew Gooden, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Larry Sanders
Notes:
The Bucks are scheduled for a favorable four-game slate with three
games against teams that allow over 100 points per game. ... The Bucks
could get Jennings back from a lengthy absence as soon as the weekend.
He has not played since Dec. 20 due to a broken bone in his left foot,
so there could be restrictions initially. If he proves he can play a
fair amount over the weekend, consider him a solid play given the
favorable matchups. ... Jennings' return stands to take a hit out of the
production of Dooling and Boykins. Unless it becomes clear that Jennings
will be playing with significant restrictions (something we doubt will
happen), both players should be avoided. ... Salmons could return over
the weekend as well after missing five games with a hip injury. Use the
weekend to determine if he is healthy enough to activate. ... As players
like Jennings, Salmons and Delfino get healthier, expect Maggette's
numbers to begin to decline. However, given the favorable matchups we
still view Maggette as a decent low-end play in the short term. ...
Delfino managed a 15-4-5 stat line on Jan. 26 vs. Atlanta in a sign he
may be ready to activate again in larger leagues. ... Ilyasova has been
highly inconsistent over the last two weeks. Even with the matchups, he
should only be trusted as a last-ditch start for deeper leagues.

Minnesota Timberwolves
Schedule: MEM, @TOR, DEN
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Kevin Love, Michael Beasley
Toss
Ups: Luke Ridnour, Darko Milicic, Corey Brewer
Bad
Plays: Wesley Johnson, Jonny Flynn, Martell Webster, Sebastian Telfair, Anthony Tolliver
Notes:
In four games since returning from a sprained ankle, Beasley has proven
healthy. He has averaged a solid 20-4-5 stat line in those games. ...
Expect Ridnour to make the most of high-volume matchups against Toronto
and Denver. Both teams allow over 104 points per game. ... Milicic is
playing through ankle pain, limiting his production over the last week.
At less than 100 percent and facing a three-game slate, you may want to
consider other options this week. ... Brewer is averaging 2.4 steals per
game and is a solid way of making up ground in that category. However,
he is not going to help you much outside of that.
New Jersey Nets
Schedule: DEN, PHI, @DET, IND
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Brook Lopez, Devin Harris
Toss
Ups: Kris Humphries, Derrick Favors, Anthony Morrow
Bad
Plays: Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic, Travis Outlaw, Troy Murphy
Notes: Humphries continues to chug along,
averaging a double-double (12.2 points and 10.2 rebounds) in January. As
long as his playing time remains in the 30-minute range, he should
remain consistent. ... Favors has shown some flashes of potential, but
the rookie remains far too raw to trust in any seasonal format. He is
averaging just 7.2 points and 6.2 rebounds over his last five games. ...
Morrow has begun to take on a bigger role after returning from his
injury, scoring 16 and 19 this week against the Cavaliers and Grizzlies.
Expect his playing time to continue to rise, making him worth a look in
leagues where his scoring and 3-point shooting could be an asset.
New Orleans Hornets
Schedule: WAS, @OKC, LAL
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Chris Paul, David West, Emeka Okafor
Toss Ups: Trevor Ariza
Bad
Plays: Marco Belinelli, Marcus Thornton, Jarrett Jack, Willie Green
Notes: Ariza is averaging 37.3 minutes per game
over his last four appearances, managing 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and
2.3 steals. He is useful in larger formats -- especially in category
play. ... The shooting guard position continues to be a mess, with a
mixture of Belinelli and Thornton leading to weak, inconsistent totals.
Of the two, Thornton has been the slightly more appealing option for
deeper leagues of late.
New York Knicks
Schedule: DAL, @PHI, PHI
Injury
Report: Kelenna Azubuike (knee/out
indefinitely), Eddy Curry
(hamstring/out indefinitely)
Good Plays: Amar'e Stoudemire, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler
Toss Ups: Danilo Gallinari, Landry Fields
Bad
Plays: Toney Douglas, Ronny Turiaf, Anthony Randolph, Timofey Mozgov, Bill Walker, Shawne Williams
Notes: Gallinari appears to be back on
track, averaging 16.8 points over his last five games, but his shot from
beyond the arc has not been there. He has shot just 6 of 20 from 3-point
range in that span. ... Fields' production is down across the board. His
scoring, already inconsistent, remains pedestrian. Now, however, his
rebounding has dropped as well. He has averaged just 5.2 rebounds over
his last five and should be reserved until he can get going again.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Schedule: NO, @PHO, @UTA
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook
Toss
Ups: Jeff Green, Serge Ibaka, James Harden
Bad
Plays: Nenad Krstic, Thabo Sefolosha, Nick Collison, Cole Aldrich
Notes: Green looks to be getting back on
track with solid games this week at the Hornets and Timberwolves. He
scored 19 points in each game with good rebounding totals, leading to
more playing time. He dropped 19-and-7 on a Hornets team he will face
again in Week 15. ... Green's reemergence has come at the expense of
Ibaka's numbers. Be careful starting him given the recent turnaround --
especially with a three-game week. ... Harden has scored in double
figures just once in his last nine games. Avoid him.
Orlando Magic
Schedule: @MEM, MIA, @WAS, @BOS
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson
Toss
Ups: Hedo Turkoglu, Ryan Anderson, Brandon Bass, Jameer Nelson, Gilbert Arenas
Bad
Plays: J.J. Redick, Chris Duhon, Quentin Richardson
Notes:
Turkoglu has averaged 12.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists over
his last five games, maintaining solid Fantasy appeal even amid some
offensive stuggles. ... We anticipate favorable results inside for both
Bass and Anderson against the Grizzlies, Heat and Wizards, making for a
productive week against teams that struggle to defend inside. ... Arenas
is averaging just a 6-4-3 stat line over his last five games, while
playing less than 20 minutes. ... Nelson is averaging 29.6 minutes
during the same span with a 12-6-3 stat line. That seems to be about
what he can manage since Arenas came to Orlando.
Philadelphia 76ers
Schedule: @NJ, NY, @NY
Injury
Report: No significant injuries.
Good Plays: Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Jrue Holiday
Toss Ups: Lou Williams,
Thaddeus Young
Bad Plays: Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes, Jodie Meeks, Andres Nocioni, Marreese Speights
Notes: Williams continues to surge,
averaging a 16-4-4 stat line over his last five games. He can chip in
decent numbers across the board, including solid 3-point shooting. ...
Expect Young to see a chance for inflated numbers in scoring against the
Knicks. He is averaging 14.8 points and 5.6 rebounds with 1.6 blocks
over his last five.
Phoenix Suns
Schedule: MIL, OKC
Injury Report: No
significant injuries.
Good Plays: Steve Nash
Toss Ups: Vince Carter,
Channing Frye, Grant Hill, Marcin Gortat
Bad
Plays: Jared Dudley, Robin Lopez, Goran Dragic, Hakim Warrick, Josh Childress,
Mickeal Pietrus
Notes: The Suns are one of four teams to play
just two games in Week 15. ... Nash is the only Suns player that should
be considered in cumulative formats this week. ... Carter, Frye, Hill
and Gortat are viable plays in average-based leagues only this week. ...
Carter dealt with some swelling in his knee this past week that has
subsided. He looked much better on Jan. 26 vs. Charlotte, scoring 22
points, and seems like a safe play in average-based leagues for Week 15.
Portland Trail Blazers
Schedule: SA, @DEN, @IND, @CLE
Injury
Report: Marcus Camby (knee/early
February), Brandon Roy (knee/out
indefinitely), Greg Oden (knee/out for
the season)
Good Plays: LaMarcus Aldridge
Toss Ups: Andre Miller,
Wesley Matthews, Nicolas Batum, Rudy Fernandez
Bad
Plays: Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham, Patrick Mills
Notes:
The injuries to Aldridge and Matthews are considered minor and each
player should be a safe play for Week 15. They both played Thursday
night in a loss to Boston. ... Camby does not have a concrete timetable
for a return, but he does appear to be getting close. He may be ready to
activate by Week 16. ... Consider Miller and Matthews excellent plays in
any league given a four-game slate that includes high-volume matchups
against the Nuggets and Cavaliers. ... Batum has quietly become a
reliable starter for deep leagues, consistently producing mid-teens
scoring, about six rebounds per game and excellent 3-point shooting. ... Rudy Fernandez is averaging around four rebounds and four assists to
go with his usual quality production in steals (2.4) and 3-point
shooting over his last five games. He is a solid low-end play,
especially in category leagues.
Sacramento Kings
Schedule: BOS, SA
Injury Report: Francisco Garcia (calf/early February)
Good Plays: No
must-starts this week.
Toss Ups: Tyreke Evans, DeMarcus Cousins, Beno Udrih, Carl Landry, Jason Thompson
Bad Plays: Samuel Dalembert, Omri Casspi, Francisco Garcia, Donte Greene
Notes:
The Kings are one of four teams to play just two games in Week 15.
Of those teams, they have the worst head-to-head matchups with two games
against teams that allow below 100 points per game. ... Evans' lingering
foot issue has not slowed him much at all recently. He is averaging a
22-5-5 stat line over his last five with 2.4 steals -- all while
averaging over 40 minutes per game. He is a viable play in deeper
cumulative leagues, though you'll have to weigh your options carefully.
... Udrih and Cousins have been mostly steady and are worthy of
activating in average-based leagues this week. Reserve them in daily
leagues. ... Landry and Thompson continue to be inconsistent and should
be avoided this week, regardless of format, given the tough matchups.

San Antonio Spurs
Schedule: @POR, @LAL, @SAC
Injury
Report: James Anderson
(foot/day-to-day), Matt Bonner (knee/out
indefinitely)
Good Plays: Manu Ginobili,
Tony Parker
Toss Ups: Tim Duncan, DeJuan Blair, Richard Jefferson, George Hill
Bad
Plays: Matt Bonner, Gary Neal, Antonio McDyess, Tiago Splitter
Notes: A warning to Duncan owners for Week
15. The Spurs play just three games and two come in a back-to-back sets.
Duncan may be limited on the back end of that set. ... Blair has been
held to just 5.0 points and 6.3 rebounds over his last five games. ...
Jefferson has scored in double figures just twice in his last eight
games. Avoid him. ... Hill can provide cheap double-digit scoring but is
only a last-ditch stopgap for deeper leagues right now.
Toronto Raptors
Schedule: @IND, @ATL, MIN
Injury
Report: Reggie Evans
(foot/mid-February), Leandro Barbosa
(hamstring/early February), Linas Kleiza
(knee/early February)
Good Plays: Andrea Bargnani, Jose Calderon, DeMar DeRozan
Toss Ups: Amir Johnson
Bad
Plays: Ed Davis, Reggie Evans, Leandro Barbosa, Linas Kleiza, Jerryd Bayless, Sonny Weems, Julian Wright
Notes:
Evans is on track for a return some time around the All-Star break.
... In Evans' absence, Johnson has averaged nearly 12 points and six
rebounds over his last five games, but is better suited for
average-based play this week given a three-game slate. ... DeRozan has
attempted 19.6 shots per contest over his last five games, leading to a
25.6 scoring average. He is also a good source for steals and free-throw
percentage.
Utah Jazz
Schedule: CHA, HOU, @DEN, OKC
Injury
Report: Deron Williams
(wrist/day-to-day), Paul Millsap
(thumb/day-to-day), Raja Bell (neck,
shoulder/day-to-day)
Good Plays: Deron Williams, Al Jefferson
Toss
Ups: Paul Millsap, Andrei Kirilenko, C.J. Miles
Bad
Plays: Mehmet Okur, Raja Bell, Gordon Hayward
Notes:
The Jazz have three high-volume matchups in a four-game week. The
Rockets, Nuggets and Thunder each allow over 100 points per game. ...
The Jazz continue to bounce between Kirilenko and Miles, but it appears
coach Jerry Sloan has settled on a return to Kirilenko at the three. ...
Kirilenko is averaging a 12-6-2 stat line with 1.6 steals over his last
five. ... Miles is averaging just 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4
assists, but is providing good numbers in steals and could be a sleeper
for some inflated totals in Week 15 given the matchups. Consider him a
decent stopgap measure off the waiver wire in a pinch.
Washington Wizards
Schedule: @DAL, @NO, ORL, ATL
Injury
Report: JaVale McGee
(flu/day-to-day), Kirk Hinrich
(elbow/day-to-day), Josh Howard
(knee/out until at least Jan. 31)
Good Plays: John Wall, Andray Blatche, Nick Young
Toss Ups: Rashard Lewis,
JaVale McGee
Bad Plays: Kirk Hinrich, Al Thornton, Josh Howard, Yi Jianlian
Notes:
All four of Washington's Week 15 opponents allow fewer than 100
points per game. ... McGee came down with the flu this week but
should be a safe play for Week 15 in deeper leagues. He is averaging
10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks over his last five. ... Lewis
is averaging 14.0 points and 6.8 rebounds over his last five games, but
is just 3 of 19 from beyond the arc. He continues to see around 35
minutes per game and makes for a decent play in most formats.
