Tolliver cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols Monday, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Tolliver tried to sign a 10-day hardship deal with the Pelicans after Christmas, but the deal was voided due to a positive test. After clearing protocols, the veteran big man is now eligible to sign a new contract with any team, but it's unclear if he has any suitors.

Tolliver signed a 10-day hardship contract with the Pelicans on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Tolliver, who was waived by Philadelphia in August, will join the 12th different NBA organization of his career. The veteran big man will serve as a floor-stretching depth option in the frontcourt for the Pelicans, who are currently without Jonas Valanciunas (illness), Naji Marshall (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) and Zion Williamson (foot). Tolliver won't be able to join the team ahead of Sunday's game against the Thunder, but he should be available to make his Pelicans debut Tuesday against the Cavaliers.

The 76ers waived Tolliver on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Tolliver's contract was set to become guaranteed at the end of Friday, so the 76ers decided cut ties with the aging veteran. Philadelphia acquired Andre Drummond and Georges Niang this offseason to bolster their depth behind Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid, making Tolliver dispensable. The 36-year-old could find another team for the 2021-22 season as a veteran bench presence, but his fantasy impact will be minimal at best.

Tolliver is expected to sign with the 76ers for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The 14-year veteran is coming off a second 10-day deal with the 76ers. He's appeared in five games and has averaged 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.4 minutes. He's unlikely to see meaningful playing time in games that the 76ers are fully healthy.

Tolliver signed a second 10-day contract with the 76ers on Thursday, Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquierer reports. Tolliver appeared in just one game during his first 10-day deal. He played 14 points and posted two rebounds, one assist and one block. It seems likely he'll continue to have a small role with the team.
