Forrest accumulated six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 115-114 loss to the Hornets. Forrest saw an uptick in playing time for the shorthanded Hawks on Wednesday and posted a relatively well-rounded stat line. Despite his decent performance against Charlotte, Forrest will likely see minimal playing time once Dejounte Murray (quadriceps) is able to return.

Forrest notched two points (1-2 FG), four rebounds and six assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 136-105 loss to the Lakers. Forrest got a little more run than usual due to the lopsided nature of the score, as his 22 minutes were the most of the campaign. The fourth-year guard wasn't aggressive as a shooter but did manage to finish second on the team with six assists. Forrest's opportunities have increased a bit since Trae Young went down with a finger injury in late February, but the former's production hasn't come closer to warranting fantasy attention.

Forrest registered two points (1-2 FG) and one rebound over eight minutes during Friday's 99-92 win over the Grizzlies. Forrest continues to play limited minutes off the bench, tallying two points in eight minutes. Despite injuries to a couple of key backcourt pieces, Forrest doesn't appear to be a priority for the coaching staff. At this point, he is not someone to consider, even in deeper leagues.

The Hawks officially converted Forrest to a standard NBA contract Thursday, making him available for Thursday's game versus the Nets. Forrest had previously reached the maximum threshold of NBA appearances for a two-way player but can now suit up for Atlanta for the rest of the 2023-24 season. Forrest will likely continue to serve as a depth option in the Hawks' backcourt.

The Hawks plan to convert Forrest from a two-way contract to a standard NBA contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Forrest had been in the midst of his second season on a two-way deal with the Hawks, but after having already been active for the maximum 50 games at the NBA level this season, he wasn't eligible to suit up for Atlanta on his current contract. By upgrading Forrest to a standard contract, he'll be eligible to play again, but it's unclear if the transaction will be made official prior to Thursday's game in Brooklyn. Atlanta is set to waive Patty Mills to open up a spot on the 15-man roster for Forrest, who is averaging 2.0 points, 2.1 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game over 20 appearances for Hawks this season.
