  Thompson finished with 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, four blocks and three steals across 26 minutes during Saturday's 112-86 win over Charlotte. Thompson has arguably his best two-way performance of the season, recording a season-high seven combined steals and blocks. Despite a consistent starting role, Thompson's playing time has been a source of frustration for fantasy managers. While this issue doesn't seem to be going away any time soon, a performance like this is at least a step in the right direction. Look for him to try to build on this effort when the Pistons face the Trail Blazers on Monday.

Thompson continues to struggle, having now played fewer than 30 minutes in six straight games. Although he is locked in as a member of the starting lineup, his limited offensive skill set, particularly an inability to stretch the floor, typically results in him being subbed out of the game during crucial moments. Through 22 appearances, Thompson is averaging just 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 combined steals and blocks in 27.4 minutes per game, making him barely a top-200 player.

Thompson scored in single digits for the fifth time in the past seven games, continuing his serviceable, yet underwhelming season. While it does appear as though he is going to be a regular piece of the starting rotation, Thompson has offered only modest production on the offensive end, averaging just 11.6 points per game through his first 17 appearances. He remains a hold in just about every format, although his overall skill set is better suited for those ignoring the points category.

  Thompson (ankle) ended with six points (3-5 FG), three blocks, two rebounds and one steal across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 victory over the Hawks. Following a four-game absence due to a right ankle sprain, Thompson was cleared to play Tuesday but came off the bench for the first time all season, likely in an effort to help manage his minutes coming off the injury. While he was relatively passive on the offensive end, Thompson recorded four combined steals and blocks to bring value for fantasy managers who activated him. Thompson could eventually reclaim a starting role before long, but even if he remains a bench player, he would continue to be worthy of rostering in most formats if he's able to consistently receive around 25-to-30 minutes.
