As a team, the Pistons struggled to convert their shots, with Detroit finishing 47-for-122 from the floor and 6-for-33 from distance in the two-point loss. They'll look to get things back on track Saturday with a favorable matchup against the Hornets.

While Cunningham didn't deliver his most efficient performance, he still scored a team-high 23 points in the win. The star point guard also dished out a game-high 12 assists, securing his 12th outing with a double-double or better (two triple-doubles) this season. He has posted at least 23 points in eight of his last 10 games, recording four double-doubles and a triple-double over that stretch.

The 17 points were Cunningham's lowest total since Oct. 27, but the fifth-year guard still did his usual effective job of filling up the scoresheet. Over eight starts since returning from a three-game absence due to a hip bruise, Cunningham is averaging 27.9 points, 8.1 boards, 8.1 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.6 steals in 36.3 minutes.

Cunningham posted 18 points (7-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, six steals and three blocks across 38 minutes in Monday's 99-98 win over the Hawks. While Cunningham didn't have his best night in the scoring column, he stuffed the stat sheet and delivered a productive all-around performance. The star guard dished out a game-high eight assists and has reached that mark in three straight games. The Oklahoma State product also had his best outing of the season on the defensive end, matching his season highs in steals and blocks.
