  • Steven Adams C | HOU

    Rockets' Steven Adams: Starting Friday

Adams (ankle) is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nuggets, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.

Adams will get his second straight start and will be joined by Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith, Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun in the first unit. In three starts this season, Adams has posted averages of 7.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 turnovers per contest.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIA

    Heat's Kel'el Ware: Starting Friday

Ware is part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bulls.

Ware will start alongside Bam Adebayo on Friday, stepping in for Andrew Wiggins (hip). The second-year center is averaging 11.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks across 26 minutes in 11 starts this season.

  • Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Available after all

Updating a previous report, Lively (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Pelicans, per Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com.

The Mavericks mistakenly ruled Lively out as a late scratch for Friday with a knee sprain, but the big man is suiting up after all. He should continue handling fewer than 20 minutes until Dallas loosens up his restrictions following an extended absence, per Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.

  • Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Ruled out Friday

Lively is out for Friday's game against the Pelicans due to a right knee sprain.

Lively is a late addition to the injury report, and the big man won't be an option Friday, thinning the team's depth in a frontcourt that was already missing Anthony Davis (calf). Daniel Gafford is expected to see an uptick in minutes with Lively out.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Ruled out for Friday

Allen (finger) will not play Friday against the Pacers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson said it looked as though Allen would play during his pregame media availability Friday afternoon, so it's surprising to see Allen get ruled out. His absence will open up minutes for Thomas Bryant and Larry Nance. For now, Allen should be considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Clippers.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Questionable for Saturday

Okongwu is questionable for Saturday's game in New Orleans due to left ankle inflammation, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Okongwu tweaked his ankle during Thursday's loss to the Spurs, and with Saturday's matchup against the Pelicans being the first of a back-to-back set, he may sit that one out. If Okongwu is unavailable for Saturday's game, that would open up some minutes for Mouhamed Gueye.

  • Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Downgraded to out

Bagley (hip) is out for Friday's game against the Raptors.

Bagley was initially listed as doubtful for this NBA Cup matchup against the Raptors, the first leg of a back-to-back set, so the downgrade to out isn't surprising. It remains to be seen if the forward, who will miss a game for the first time in 2025-26 on Friday, will be able to make a quick return Saturday against the Bulls.

  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Friday

Sarr (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game in Toronto.

This will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Sarr, and his next chance to play will come Saturday in Chicago. With Marvin Bagley (hip) also unavailable for Friday's game, Tristan Vukcevic will get all the run he can handle, and Anthony Gill will have an opportunity to get into the rotation.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Expected to play Friday

Allen (finger) is expected to play Friday against the Pacers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Allen remains questionable on the latest edition of the injury report, but the star big man is trending toward being available. Allen is averaging 15.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game since the beginning of November.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Upgraded to available

Filipowski (wrist) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Filipowski will shake off a questionable tag to return from a one-game absence. In his last five appearances for the Jazz, Filipowski averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers in 21.4 minutes per contest.
