  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Leads Washington in scoring

Sarr ended with 22 points (8-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Thursday's 162-109 loss to the Pacers.

Sarr was the top scorer for the Wizards in this game. While the rookie tends to receive heavy minutes on a steady basis in order to give him as much exposure as possible in his first year in the league, he was limited to only 28 minutes in this blowout loss. Sarr has been playing well in recent weeks, though, and his growth has been massive. He's reached the 20-point mark in five of his last eight appearances, averaging 20.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game in that span.

  • Duop Reath C | ATL

Trail Blazers' Duop Reath: Paces second unit in defeat

Reath ended Thursday's 128-107 loss to the Kings with 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes.

Reath led the second unit in scoring Thursday, logging season-high marks in points and three-pointers. The big man has received an uptick in playing time of late due to Deandre Ayton (calf), Jerami Grant (knee) and Robert Williams (knee) all being sidelined. Over his last 10 appearances, Reath has averaged 8.7 points and 4.2 rebounds across 20.8 minutes per contest. Prior to the All-Star break, he averaged only 5.3 minutes per game across 26 appearances.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Nabs double-double in win Thursday

Sabonis closed Thursday's 128-107 victory over the Trail Blazers with 22 points (9-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 19 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 35 minutes.

Sabonis stuffed the stat sheet once again, recording his 53rd outing with a double-double or better across 61 regular-season appearances. Additionally, the 28-year-old logged at least 20 points for the 30th time on the season. The star big man has made three appearances following a three-game absence due to a right ankle sprain, during which he has averaged 15.3 points, 16.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists across 35.0 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Posts 16 points in defeat

Filipowski amassed 16 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 33 minutes during Thursday's 121-110 loss to the Rockets.

The Jazz have two players up for Rookie of the Year consideration, but Filipowski's numbers probably won't be enough to unseat standouts like Stephon Castle or Zaccharie Risacher. Nevertheless, the Duke product has excelled under pressure amid Utah's several injury troubles throughout the season. Filipowski is having a very productive month, averaging 15.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists over 15 games in March.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Explodes with 33/10 double-double

Sengun provided 33 points (11-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 11-13 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes during Thursday's 121-110 win over the Jazz.

Sengun had no trouble exploiting the Jazz, who continued to struggle without Lauri Markkanen (rest) and John Collins (ankle) in the lineup. Sengun, the double-double threat, had one of his lowest assist totals of the season, but he's eclipsed double-digit totals in the category four times, resulting in four triple-doubles.

  • Jaxson Hayes C | LAL

Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Efficient 19 points Thursday

Hayes contributed 19 points (9-11 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block over 32 minutes during Thursday's 119-117 loss to the Bulls.

Hayes has been a relatively hit-or-miss fantasy option since taking over in the middle following the trade of Anthony Davis, but Thursday did mark the third time in March in which Hayes scored 19 points in a game. He's averaged 11.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 blocks in 25.0 minutes across 11 games this month, and Hayes is shooting a robust 80.3 percent from the field during that period.

  • Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson: Ejected vs. San Antonio

Thompson was ejected during the fourth quarter of Thursday's game against the Spurs after being assessed a Flagrant 2 foul, Ethan Sands of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. He failed to score (0-1 FG) and recorded four rebounds and one block in eight minutes before departing.

Thompson was tossed for what was deemed an excessive elbow to the head of Julian Champagnie. Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade will be asked to hold down the center position in Thompson's absence.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Undergoes surgery on blood clot

Head coach of the French National team, Frederic Fauthoux, said Thursday that Wembanyama underwent surgery on the deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder and is feeling fine, Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio reports.

Wembanyama was ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA season during the All-Star break due to the deep vein thrombosis. However, Fauthoux is optimistic that the superstar could return for the FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers this summer. The Spurs expect to have Wembanyama back by the start of the 2025-26 season, and this update from Fauthoux suggests that he'll be ready for the Spurs' Opening Night, barring any setbacks. The second-year big man finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, 3.7 assists, 3.1 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 33.2 minutes per contest over his 46 regular-season appearances.

  • Kai Jones C | DAL

Mavericks' Kai Jones: Won't return vs. Orlando

Jones won't return to Thursday's matchup against the Magic due to a left hip contusion. He'll finish the game with four points (2-2 FG), five rebounds and one block across seven minutes.

The big man threw down an alley-oop dunk following a huge block, though he took a hard fall and walked back to the locker room before being ruled out shortly thereafter. Dwight Powell and Caleb Martin are candidates for an uptick in playing time due to Jones being sidelined.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

    Rockets' Steven Adams: Unavailable Thursday

Adams (wrist) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Vanessa Richardson of Space City Home Network reports.

Adams is set for his fourth absence of March, this time due to a right wrist injury. Jock Landale could see more opportunities at center in Adams' place.
