  • Kings' Precious Achiuwa: Moves outside rotation

Achiuwa (coach's decision) went unused off the bench Wednesday in the Kings' 129-125 loss to the Grizzlies.

Achiuwa had started each of the Kings' previous 13 games, but after playing less than 15 minutes in both of the past two contests, head coach Doug Christie opted to move him to the bench against Memphis. With De'Andre Hunter making his team debut Wednesday and fortifying the Kings' depth at forward, Achiuwa was dropped from the rotation entirely as Christie instead added guard Devin Carter (24 minutes) to the second unit to compensate for the losses of two backcourt players in Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis, who were traded to Cleveland in the Hunter deal. Unless Sacramento is without one of its key frontcourt options in a given game moving forward, Achiuwa could find himself out of the rotation for the foreseeable future.

  • Hunter Tyson SF | DEN

Nets' Hunter Tyson: Heading to Brooklyn

The Nuggets traded Tyson and a 2032 second-round pick to the Nets on Thursday in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The move sets Tyson up for a fresh start in Brooklyn. The 2023 second-rounder averaged just 7.7 minutes per game over 21 regular-season appearances with Denver, playing at least 20 minutes on just two occasions in 2025-26. Tyson doesn't figure to handle a significant role right off the bat, but he at least has a better chance of carving out decent minutes in Brooklyn than he did with the Nuggets.

  • Celtics' Amari Williams: Inks standard pact with Boston

The Celtics agreed to a two-year, $2.7 million contract with Williams on Thursday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.

The rookie second-rounder latched on with Boston on a one-year, two-way pact this past summer, though he's now been upgraded to a standard deal. The 24-year-old big man has appeared in 13 regular-season games (two starts) so far this season, during which he has averaged 1.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.2 minutes per contest. He'll continue to provide center depth for Boston behind Nikola Vucevic (recently traded), Neemias Queta and Luka Garza.

  • Rockets' Dorian Finney-Smith: Available to play Thursday

Finney-Smith (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Hornets.

After sitting out the front end of a back-to-back set, Finney-Smith will be good to go for this contest. The forward is averaging 15.5 minutes per game over his last five outings.

  • Jae'Sean Tate SF | HOU

Rockets' Jae'Sean Tate: Ruled out Thursday

Tate won't play Thursday against the Hornets due to a left wrist contusion.

Tate has been an inconsistent part of the Rockets' rotation this season, so his absence from the active roster won't impact fantasy leagues. Tate's next chance to play will come Saturday in Oklahoma City.

  • Ochai Agbaji SF | BKN

Nets' Ochai Agbaji: Won't play Thursday

Agbaji (not with team) has been ruled out for Thursday's game in Orlando.

Agbaji was traded to the Nets on Wednesday, but he has yet to join his new team, and thus, will be unavailable for Thursday's game. Agbaji's next chance to make his Brooklyn debut will be Saturday versus the Wizards.

  • Tari Eason PF | HOU

Rockets' Tari Eason: Listed questionable Thursday

Eason is questionable for Thursday's game against the Hornets due to left lower leg injury management.

The Rockets are considering holding Eason out of action for the second part of their back-to-back set. If the forward is ultimately downgraded to out, Josh Okogie stands out as the most likely candidate to replace Eason in the starting lineup Thursday.

  • Jock Landale C | ATL

Hawks' Jock Landale: Not on injury report

Landale is not on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Landale was acquired from Utah on Wednesday and will be asked to provide some frontcourt depth. Rowland notes that Landale isn't guaranteed to see minutes Thursday, so fantasy managers will want to be cautious here. However, with Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) banged up and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) no longer in town, Landale could have a clear path to a rotation role when he's up to speed in Atlanta.

  • Santi Aldama C | MEM

Grizzlies' Santi Aldama: Productive in limited action

Aldama (knee) logged 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 129-125 win over the Kings.

Aldama faced a minutes limit in his return from a four-game absence due to right knee injury management, but he was able to make the most of his playing time. Now that both Jaren Jackson and Jock Landale are out of the frontcourt picture, a big role at center is in store for Aldama down the stretch once he has his restrictions loosened. Aldama has averaged 14.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 28.2 minutes per contest in his last six games.

  • Clippers' Derrick Jones: Little production in return

Jones (knee) closed with seven points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 124-91 loss to the Cavaliers.

Though Jones logged 20-plus minutes in his first game since Jan. 3 after missing just over a month due to a Grade 2 right knee sprain, his statistical output was muted during his time on the court. Inconsistent production has been a trend for Jones throughout his career, so even if his playing time increases as he gets ramped up, fantasy managers should prepare for plenty of ebbs and flows with his numbers. For the season, the 28-year-old forward is averaging 10.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers, 1.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.7 steals in 24.1 minutes per game over his 18 appearances.
