  • Lakers' Deandre Ayton: Miled effort in loss

Ayton provided 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 129-99 loss to the Cavaliers.

Ayton continues to trend in the wrong direction for the Lakers. Over his last seven outings, he's seen 23.6 minutes per game with 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks on 55.4 percent shooting from the field. Jaxson Hayes and Jarred Vanderbilt don't appear to be serious threats to his starting job for now, however.

  • Spurs' Stephon Castle: Bounces back in win

Castle amassed 16 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 111-99 victory over the Rockets.

It was a strong bounce-back showing after Castle scored just five points in Sunday's loss to New Orleans. The second-year guard is putting together a productive campaign as the Spurs' top point guard, averaging 13.5 points, 7.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 31.7 minutes per tilt in his last 10 games.

  • Jay Huff C | IND

Pacers' Jay Huff: Emerges in win

Huff finished with 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 113-110 victory over Chicago.

After seeing a combined five minutes in his previous two appearances, Huff reemerged in a big way Wednesday night. Indiana's center rotation remains a mess, and the team has recently leaned on smaller lineups with Jarace Walker getting more run. Keep an eye on Huff in case he's able to build some momentum.

  • Ayo Dosunmu PG | MIN

Bulls' Ayo Dosunmu: Another strong line

Dosunmu amassed 19 points (8-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 113-110 loss to the Pacers.

Dosunmu continues to be a major standout for the Bulls, and recent reports have suggested that the franchise may be looking to extend him this offseason. With Coby White's name continuing to surface in the rumor mill, Dosunmu is a candidate for an increased role down the stretch.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Questionable with ankle sprain

Sengun is questionable for Thursday's game against Atlanta due to a right ankle sprain, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Sengun tweaked his ankle late in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs and was seen favoring it a bit, so the Rockets could take his status down to the wire Thursday. If the star big man is unable to play against the Hawks, Houston would be down to Clint Capela as its lone traditional big man. Josh Okogie and Jae'Sean Tate could also see some minutes at center in small-ball lineups.

  • Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Remains out Thursday

Risacher (knee) will not play Thursday against the Rockets.

Risacher was recently upgraded to day-to-day, but the second-year forward will be sidelined for an 11th straight contest Thursday. His next chance to play comes Saturday against the Pacers. Corey Kispert continues to start in Risacher's absence.

  • Jalen Johnson SF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Listed questionable Thursday

Johnson is questionable for Thursday's game against the Rockets due to left calf tightness.

After logging 33 minutes during Wednesday's 117-106 win over the Celtics, the star forward is in jeopardy of sitting out the second leg of this back-to-back. With Onyeka Okongwu (face) already ruled out, the Hawks could need Corey Kispert and Luke Kennard to play significant minutes in the frontcourt Thursday.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Ruled out Thursday

Okongwu (face) will not play Thursday against Houston.

Okongwu left Wednesday's game early with a facial contusion, which has since been updated to a dental fracture. It remains to be seen if this will also sideline him Saturday against the Pacers. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see how much the Hawks utilize Christian Koloko and Mouhamed Gueye at center.

  • Kings' Russell Westbrook: Won't play Thursday

Westbrook (foot) will not play Thursday against the 76ers.

Westbrook was unable to shake his questionable tag on the front end of this back-to-back set. In his absence, the Kings will likely lean more on Dennis Schroder, Keon Ellis and Nique Clifford. Westbrook's status for Friday's game versus Boston remains in the air.

  • Josh Minott SF | BKN

Celtics' Josh Minott: Makes garbage-time cameo

Minott played the final 4:39 of Wednesday's 117-106 loss to the Hawks, finishing with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one rebound.

The Celtics were shorthanded in the frontcourt Wednesday with Neemias Queta (illness) sitting out, but his absence didn't open up room in the rotation for Minott, who had been cleared to return to action earlier this week after missing 10 straight games while recovering from an ankle sprain. Boston got by with a combination of Luka Garza and Amari Williams at center while the game was competitive before Minott checked in for the first time late in the fourth quarter, when Atlanta had built an 18-point lead to effectively salt the game away.
