The third-year guard looks penciled in to open the 2026-27 regular season as the Wizards' starting shooting guard, and his combination of playmaking, rebounding and perimeter shooting makes him an intriguing fantasy contributor.

Dybantsa recorded 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and four steals across 23 minutes in Thursday's 111-109 preseason win over the Knicks.

Dybantsa made an impact on the defensive end, leading both teams with four steals while committing no turnovers. The young forward was less effective offensively, missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc and needing 11 shots just to score 11 points. Mistakes are bound to happen for rookie players, and Dybantsa should continue to see consistent minutes ahead of the regular-season opener against the Bucks on Oct. 21, where he's still expected to be part of the starting unit.

Gonzalez registered 15 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 26 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason win over the Cavaliers.

Gonzalez impressed with his versatility, contributing as both a scorer and facilitator while shooting efficiently from the field. The young wing connected on three triples and showed his ability to attack the basket. His five assists led the team,and his plus-seven rating led all starters. Gonzalez's all-around production should strengthen his case for a meaningful rotation role as Boston continues its preseason preparations. He's in the mix to start at shooting guard, as he's competing with Baylor Scheierman, Sam Hauser and Peyton Pritchard for that role.

Walsh tallied 16 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, an assist and a block across 26 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason win over the Cavaliers.

Walsh joined Baylor Scheierman and Luka Garza as one of the three starters who crossed the 15-point threshold in this win for the Celtics, and he continues to make a strong case for a prominent role in the rotation with the start of the regular season around the corner. Although he finished with a minus-13 rating and committed five personal fouls, Walsh's aggressive offensive approach was encouraging as he looks to establish a larger role in Boston's wing rotation. He's in the mix for a bench role at either forward position.

Scheierman posted 16 points (5-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason win over the Cavaliers.

The Celtics decided to start a reserve squad for this game and Scheierman made the most of the opportunity, ending as one of four starters with at least 15 points and connecting on a team-high four triples. Scheierman's outside shooting could help him compete for consistent minutes on the wing ahead of the start of the regular season, and he's in the mix for the starting shooting guard role with Sam Hauser, Hugo Gonzalez and Peyton Pritchard.

Allen registered six points (3-5 FG), four rebounds and two steals across 17 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason loss to the Celtics.

Allen made the most of his limited touches before the Cavaliers turned to their reserves. The center collected all four rebounds on the defensive glass and finished with a neutral plus-minus rating, which was the best mark among Cleveland's starters. His limited offensive involvement wasn't surprising given the Cavaliers' abbreviated rotation, and Allen should continue serving as a reliable source of rebounds, efficient interior scoring and defensive production during the regular season. His role ahead of the start of the campaign isn't at risk, with the Cavaliers simply limiting the playing time of their projected starers in the preseason games.

Mobley finished with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 FT), a rebound and an assist across 17 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason loss to the Celtics.

Mobley saw limited opportunities on offense, attempting just five shots while Cleveland gave its starters identical playing time, but he was efficient. His limited minutes and low usage reflected preseason circumstances more than any meaningful change in his expected regular-season role, so fantasy managers shouldn't focus too much on his reduced preseason playing time.

Mitchell recorded 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three assists across 17 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 preseason loss to the Celtics.

Mitchell played exclusively in the first half as Cleveland distributed minutes evenly among its starters, with all five logging exactly 17 minutes. With Cleveland prioritizing rotation evaluation during the preseason, Mitchell's modest workload shouldn't raise concerns about his regular-season offensive role. He should remain one of the team's go-to options ahead of the regular-season opener against the 76ers on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Sacramento's top 2026 draft pick opened 1-of-10 from the field before hitting three straight shots late in the first half, but he struggled for most of the night. There's little doubt Acuff will man the point guard role in the first unit once the season begins, but some rough shooting nights as he adjusts to NBA play are to be expected.

Plowden logged 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two blocks, an assist and a steal in 11 minutes during Thursday's 114-110 preseason loss to the Lakers.

Plowden was red-hot off the bench in the loss, building on the excellent play late last season that earned him a two-year, $5.1M contract in July. Plowden could fill a variety of roles with the Kings this season, but he's likely headed to a wing support role that won't yield many minutes once the season starts.
