Grizzlies' Taj Gibson: Won't make team debut Friday

Gibson (recently signed) will not play in Friday's game against the Mavericks.

Gibson signed a contract with Memphis on Thursday but will have to wait to make his Grizzlies debut. The 40-year-old center's next opportunity to suit up will come Sunday against the Pacers.

  • Ty Jerome SG | MEM

Grizzlies' Ty Jerome: Not playing Friday

Jerome (thigh) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Dallas.

Jerome was initially tagged as doubtful due to a left thigh contusion, so it's no surprise to see him ruled out for Friday's contest. Scotty Pippen, Walter Clayton and Javon Small are all slated for more minutes and larger roles in Jerome's absence. His next chance to suit up is Sunday against Indiana.

  • Yves Missi C | NO

Pelicans' Yves Missi: Questionable to face Utah

Missi (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Missi is in danger of missing a sixth straight game due to a left calf strain. If the second-year big man is ultimately ruled out, Karlo Matkovic and DeAndre Jordan would be candidates for increased playing time.

  • Keyonte George SG | UTA

Jazz's Keyonte George: Questionable for Saturday

George (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pelicans.

George has missed Utah's last six outings due to a right ankle sprain he sustained in a Feb. 7 loss to Orlando. However, he has now drawn a questionable tag ahead of three consecutive contests and appears to be nearing a return to game action. If he remains sidelined Saturday, Isaiah Collier should continue to start.

  • Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Resting Saturday

Murray (reconditioning) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Murray made his 2025-26 regular-season debut against the Warriors on Tuesday after missing the first 58 games while recovering from a torn Achilles. He'll be sidelined for the first leg of the Pelicans' back-to-back set but has a good chance at being available for Sunday's contest against the Clippers. Bryce McGowens, Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen figure to be the top candidates to enter New Orleans' starting lineup in Murray's absence.

  • Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Ruled out for Saturday

Murphy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Murphy will miss a fifth consecutive contest due to a right shoulder contusion and is without a clear timetable for a return. His next opportunity to play will come Sunday against the Clippers. With the 25-year-old swingman sidelined, Bryce McGowens and Jordan Poole are candidates for increased playing time.

  • Klay Thompson SG | DAL

Mavericks' Klay Thompson: Won't go Friday

Thompson (rest) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Thompson will get the night off in the second leg of this back-to-back set, and his next opportunity to play will come Sunday against the Thunder. With the veteran forward being joined by Cooper Flagg (foot), P.J. Washington (ankle) and Caleb Martin (back) on the sidelines, Khris Middleton, Max Christie, AJ Johnson and Brandon Williams are candidates for increased playing time.

  • Caleb Martin SF | DAL

Mavericks' Caleb Martin: Won't play Friday

Martin is out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies due to lower-back soreness.

Martin's next chance to play now comes Sunday, when the Mavericks face the defending-champion Thunder. Dallas is decimated by injuries Friday, which positions Khris Middleton, Brandon Williams and Max Christie as worthwhile streaming options in most fantasy formats.

  • PJ Washington PF | DAL

Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Won't play Friday

Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Washington was initially tagged as questionable for Friday's contest due to a left ankle sprain that he sustained in Tuesday's win over the Grizzlies. The veteran forward will indeed be sidelined for both games of the Mavericks' back-to-back set, and his next chance to play is Sunday against the Thunder. Khris Middleton will continue to operate in an expanded role in Washington's absence.

  • Pacers' Quenton Jackson: Gets standard contract with Indiana

The Pacers converted Jackson's two-way contract to a three-year deal Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Jackson has played on a two-way contract in each of the last three years, but his strong play this season has led to the Pacers rewarding the four-year pro with a standard contract that is partially guaranteed next season and non-guaranteed for the third year, per Tony East of Forbes.com. Jackson has scored in double digits in six of his last seven outings (one start), and over that span he has averaged 16.0 points, 3.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 threes over 24.1 minutes per contest.
