Gifford (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Gifford didn't practice during Week 7 prep due to a groin injury he picked up against the Commanders in Week 6. The 49ers have a bye for Week 8, so his next chance to play is Week 9 against the Raiders on Sunday, Nov. 8. Garrett Wallow (hamstring) is also out, so Tatum Bethune is currently the lone depth option at linebacker ahead of Sunday's contest.
