Sanu (knee) being activated from injured reserve wasn't among the transactions made by the 49ers ahead of Sunday's wild-card game at Dallas.
Sanu thus won't be eligible to return to the active roster until the divisional round, at the earliest, but the 49ers first will need to secure a victory in their playoff opener. The team opened his practice window Jan. 5, so there's plenty of time for the 10th-year pro to prove his knee is healthy. With Sanu still sidelined, though, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, Trent Sherfield, Travis Benjamin and perhaps River Cracraft will serve as San Francisco's options at wide receiver Sunday.
