Burford (hand) is expected to return to participate in individual drills at practice this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Burford has been recovering from a broken hand that he suffered in late July, but he appears to be on the cusp of a return to participate in a limited capacity. Once healthy, Burford is expected to operated as a starting offensive guard for San Francisco.
