The 49ers lifted Williams' roster exemption ahead of Monday night's game against the Jets.
Williams had been holding out for a new contract, but after agreeing to terms with the 49ers on Tuesday, he's been added to San Francisco's active roster just in time for the team's regular-season opener Monday. Expect the All-Pro offensive lineman to protect Brock Purdy's blindside as the year progresses.
