Lance (knee) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Coming off a Week 6 bye, Lance hasn't taken the field in either of the 49ers' first two Week 7 practices. Unless he practices in some capacity Friday, Lance's sprained left knee looks as though it'll keep him sidelined for Sunday's game against the Colts. If that's the case, the 49ers would likely elevate Nate Sudfeld from the practice squad to serve as the backup to Jimmy Garoppolo (calf), who appears set to put an end to his one-game absence this weekend.
