Gross-Matos (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Jets, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Gross-Matos logged back-to-back DNPs to start the week, and his next chance at suiting up will be Week 2 against the Vikings on Sept. 15. With Gross-Matos sidelined, Robert Beal will be called upon to provide additional depth at defensive end Monday behind starters Nick Bosa and Leonard Floyd.
