Detroit signed Rosas to the practice squad Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Rosas was cut by the Lions on Tuesday after losing the offseason kicker competition, but he will remain around as an emergency option. He made just one of four field-goal tries in four games with the Saints last year.
