Firkser signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday.
The veteran tight end joined the Jets in late July but failed to make the team's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. However, Firkser is returning to New York after inking a deal with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday. He could be elevated to the Jets' active roster if one of the team's three active TEs misses time at some point this season.
