The Bears have released Rolle (knee), the Chicago Tribune reports.
Releasing Rolle saves the Bears $3 million against their 2016 salary cap, with the move made more feasible after the team took safeties Deon Bush and DeAndre Houston-Carson in the recently-completed NFL Draft. The 33-year-old Rolle was limited to seven games and 35 tackles in his one and only season with the Bears in 2015.
