Chicago re-signed Pierce to the practice squad Tuesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Pierce spent time with the Bears during the offseason, and he now joins Ryan Nall among the team's backfield options on the practice squad. With David Montgomery (knee) evidently destined to miss time, Chicago needed to make moves to bolster depth.
