Pierce was waived by the Bears on Tuesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Pierce had 17 carries for 89 yards in the three preseason games, but he wasn't able to nab a spot on Chicago's season-opening roster. The team hopes to retain the 25-year-old via the practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
