The Packers waived Allen on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.
Allen signed a reserve/future contract with the Packers in January after being cut by the Giants in October. He'll be able to rejoin Green Bay on its practice squad once he clears waivers or he could look for opportunities elsewhere.
