The Buccaneers waived Johnson on Saturday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Johnson appears to be the odd man out in a battle between him, Alan Cross and Antony Auclair to make the final roster. He could be a candidate for the team's practice squad, but if not he will have to look for a new opportunity.
