The Bears placed Trevathan (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Trevathan continues to work through knee soreness that's bothered him throughout training camp, per Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. The veteran interior linebacker will be eligible to return as soon as Week 4 against the Lions.
